About The Position

Tallies products or raw materials such as, chicken parts or feathers, SPN or Blood received from suppliers or by and from farm workers, for production purposes. Computes and records totals of tallied figures, examines and sorts items, and records the number and types of defects for quality control purposes. Counts sample quantity of parts onto a ratio balance scale and computes the total number of parts, and issues receipts. This role requires the ability to work any shift and perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The work environment can involve wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat, with a usually loud noise level.

Requirements

  • Must have 3 months of work history with one employer within the last 2 years listed on the application.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Reports job hazards immediately and corrects them when possible, and documents them.
  • Inspects all tools and materials for defects and safety issues.
  • Follows all safety rules and guidelines.
