About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Cook at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The pay range is $20 to $28.75 per hour. The scheduled shift is 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served on time. The role follows health protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and maintaining proper food temperatures. The Cook also gets to know residents and their preferences and needs and participates in resident orientations. The job is primarily indoors, with availability to work outside for events. It involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the day; frequently lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds; and working near extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
- Possess proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Be comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
- Be able to work primarily indoors and be available to work outside for events.
- Be criminally cleared.
