About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Cook at Boulevard St Charles in St. Charles, Missouri. The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served on time. The role also follows health protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and safe food temperatures. Cooks get to know residents and their preferences and needs and participate in resident orientations. The scheduled shift is 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The pay range is $20 to $28.75 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
- Have proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be comfortable working near extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
- Be able to work primarily indoors and also be available to work outside for events.
- Be criminally cleared.
