About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Cook at Cambridge in Springfield, Missouri. The role prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served on time. The Cook follows health protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and safe food temperatures; learns residents’ preferences and needs; and participates in resident orientations. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and pays $16 to $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Ability to work primarily indoors and be available to work outdoors for events.
Must be criminally cleared.
