About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Cook at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served on time. The role follows health and food-safety protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and safe food temperatures. The Cook learns residents’ preferences and needs and participates in resident orientations. The position is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The pay range is $20 to $28.75 per hour. The role primarily works indoors, with occasional outdoor work for events, and involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the day, frequently lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, and working near extreme temperatures such as cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Must possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
- Must be able to work primarily indoors and also work outdoors for events.
- Must be criminally cleared.
