About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Cook Professional helps deliver an exceptional culinary experience through ingredient selection, food preparation, and presentation. The role supports the restaurant’s creative culinary offerings and contributes to a dining experience that reflects Bloomingdale’s distinctive style and customer experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of direct experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the manager to identify current culinary trends and implement new, on-brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with the manager to create menus for special events as needed.
- Work with the Restaurant Manager to ensure proper communication with co-workers.
- Be a motivating presence and leader to staff, continually improving performance and exceeding customer expectations.
