About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Cook Professional is an essential part of the customer experience, delivering an exceptional culinary experience through ingredient selection, food preparation, and presentation. The role supports the restaurant’s creative culinary offerings and helps provide customers with a distinctive dining experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of direct experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the manager to identify current culinary trends and implement new, on-brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with the manager to create menus for special events as needed.
- Work with the Restaurant Manager to ensure proper communication with co-workers.
- Be a motivating presence and leader to staff, continually improving performance and exceeding customer expectations.
