About The Position

The Bloomingdale’s Barista/Café Associate creates and sells Colada Shop beverages according to Colada Shop standards. The role provides caring hospitality, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. Associates prepare and present food and beverages, maintain the café work area and equipment, and support product presentation and merchandising.

Requirements

No education or experience is required.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and move for prolonged periods of at least two consecutive hours.
May need to reach above eye level and crouch.
Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment, cash registers, and register transaction processing.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate current working knowledge of beverages, the coffee/espresso bar, retail, and food stations.
Prepare and present products according to Colada Shop recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
Maintain the work area and equipment according to company and Health Department standards.
Follow personal hygiene and professional dress expectations.
Use service steps and selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Educate customers about products, offer samples, and serve food and beverages.
Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty.
Maintain stock levels and standards for product presentation, merchandising, and signage.
