About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Cook to prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets. The Cook maintains sanitation and food-safety standards, keeps food and storage areas clean and organized, properly stores and rotates inventory, and works with the manager on specials and menu variations. This position is tipped eligible. The hiring process may include interviews, a drug screen, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, sanitation requirements and workplace safety regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of food-preparation health and safety guidelines.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

High school education preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility.
Keep food storage areas organized and clean.
Handle and store all food items properly at the conclusion of the shift.
Rotate inventory properly.
Prepare food according to specifications for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets.
Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and product pars.
Work with the manager to create specials and other menu variations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
