About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Cook to prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets. The role maintains food sanitation and safety standards, keeps storage areas organized and clean, properly handles and stores food, and rotates inventory. The Cook works with a manager on specials and menu variations and may perform other duties as assigned. This is a tipped-eligible position.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is required.
- Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, sanitation practices and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work as a team player.
Nice To Haves
- High school education is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility.
- Keep food storage areas organized and clean.
- Properly handle and store all food items at the conclusion of the shift.
- Rotate inventory properly.
- Prepare food according to specifications for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets.
- Maintain clean, orderly storage areas and product pars.
- Work with the manager to create specials and other menu variations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
