About The Position

The Cook prepares, cooks, and plates exceptional meals across the community’s five restaurants, applying knowledge of commercial kitchen operations while maintaining a sanitary and tidy kitchen. The role is based at Sagewood, a senior living and care community in Phoenix, Arizona. It offers varied shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.; the schedule is five days per week, including weekends and occasional holidays. The position requires a flu vaccination and the ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• A passion for cooking.
• At least three years of experience as a cook in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club.
• Comfort working weekends and occasional holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks for employment.
• Must have an Arizona Food Handlers Card or obtain one upon hire.
• Flu vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate meals.
