Part-time/Full-time Cook
About The Position
Centre, Inc. is seeking a Cook to deliver food services to clients at its Mandan RRC location in Mandan, North Dakota. The role supports the basic needs of clients and offers flexible hours and hands-on experience. The Cook stocks and maintains a continental breakfast, prepares and serves lunch and evening meals from an approved menu, labels and stores food properly, and maintains clean kitchen and storage areas in accordance with applicable regulatory statutes, contracts, and the FDA Food Code. The position pays $18.80–$23.25 per hour, depending on experience and full-time or part-time status. Employees may be eligible for a health and welfare fringe benefit of up to $5.09 per hour. The position may qualify for a bonus of up to $8,000 for full-time employees or $4,000 for part-time employees, paid after successful completion of the six-month probationary period and after one year of employment. Full-time employees must maintain full-time status throughout their first year to receive the full-time bonus; part-time employees must average 16 hours per week to qualify. Centre provides ongoing training, including Core Correctional Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention. Its training program and protocols follow the American Correctional Association’s Expected Practices for Adult Community Residential Services (4th Edition).

- High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

- Ensure food is properly labeled and stored.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas according to regulatory statutes, contracts, and the FDA Food Code.
