About The Position
Pine Creek Manor is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents. The Cook works closely with the dietary team to plan menus and meet residents’ dietary requirements, while helping maintain the facility’s standards and resident satisfaction. The role is primarily day shift, with occasional afternoon-shift coverage as needed, and involves working 4–5 days weekly with rotational weekends. Full-time or part-time schedules are available. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in a similar role and must hold or be able to obtain ServSafe certification upon offer. Experience in a nursing, healthcare, hospital dietary, or senior-living setting is strongly desired. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Culinary arts education and experience with menu planning or inventory management are preferred.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a Cook in a similar role.
- Must have or be able to obtain ServSafe certification upon offer.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work 4–5 days weekly with rotational weekends; primarily day shift, with occasional afternoon shifts as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Experience in a healthcare or senior-living environment; nursing or hospital dietary experience is strongly desired.
- Experience with menu planning and inventory management.
Responsibilities
