About The Position

The Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of food items using different cooking methods such as sautéing, broiling, frying, baking, and grilling. This role involves operating various kitchen equipment, managing ingredient supply levels, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the work area. The Cook must maintain product quality, follow standard recipes, and communicate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, broilers, ovens, and French tops.
  • Ability to complete preliminary preparation work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate and maintained.
  • Ability to move items from storage areas to assigned stations for restocking.
  • Ability to maintain required par levels of food items at assigned stations.
  • Ability to keep work areas sanitary, organized, and compliant with safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to ensure all assigned areas are clean and free of debris.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain product quality through correct handling and storage of perishables.
  • Ability to prepare food products according to standard recipes and specifications.
  • Ability to respond positively to coaching and training from chefs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
  • Willingness to assist with additional job-related duties as assigned.
