About The Position
Goodwin Living cooks provide a pleasurable dining experience for residents by preparing high-quality food. They manage food preparation and production while ensuring the kitchen environment meets sanitation guidelines. This PRN/on-call role is part of the Dining Services team, which works in a warm, welcoming environment and builds meaningful relationships with coworkers and residents. The pay is $21–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a line cook in a health care facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen station.
- Prepare food by cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
- Plate prepared foods according to the chef’s guidance.
- Work with servers to ensure orders are completed as requested and on time.
- Ensure kitchen operating procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
