About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Cook to join a school food service program. The ideal candidate has previous cooking experience, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment serving students. The role is Monday through Friday on the day shift, with no weekends or holidays and summers off.

Requirements

• Previous cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented, with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• K-12 school food service experience.
• ServSafe® Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Follow National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines and meal preparation standards.
• Ensure proper food portions, quality, and timely meal service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Receive, stock, and organize food and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with meal service and serving students.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Perform additional food service duties as needed to support daily operations.
