About The Position

Benchmark at Bedford Falls is seeking a Cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents. The Cook prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Benchmark policies and procedures. The Food Services Director oversees the work to ensure quality food service. The role includes preparing and serving meals, helping ensure timely meal production, and representing the community positively when interacting with potential residents and families. The position offers reliable, schedule-stabilizing hours and paid training; the posting advertises no late nights.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods; the position is primarily standing.

Nice To Haves

Culinary Arts training preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow all dietary procedures.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, potentially including a meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, and warmer cabinets.
Assist in establishing the food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
Represent the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavor.
