About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics to provide compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. Paramedics assess emergency calls and determine an appropriate course of action under progressive Paramedic protocols. They use medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced care, communicate with patients and loved ones, and may lead the Paramedic team while managing the scene and unit. The role also includes driving an ambulance on 911 responses, collaborating professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, and participating in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPR card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while following progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills, medical equipment, and procedures—including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids—to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
