About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics to provide compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. Paramedics assess emergency calls, use established protocols and medical equipment to deliver care, communicate with patients and their loved ones, and lead scenes and unit operations as needed. The role also includes driving an ambulance on 911 responses, collaborating with health and public safety personnel, and participating in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relationships.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
State Paramedic License.
State Driver’s License.
BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic credentials.
BLS, ACLS, and CPR card from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Driving record compliant with company policy.
Pass the Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assess each call situation and determine an appropriate course of action using Paramedic protocols.
Use Paramedic skills, medical equipment, and procedures—including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids—to provide advanced medical care.
Communicate with patients and loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
