COOK SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Cook Supervisor directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. The position is full-time at the Norfolk Southern location at 650 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia. The schedule is 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.; days may vary, with further details provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Five years of previous experience is required. The supervisor trains and directs associates, monitors performance, advises management on purchasing needs, and ensures food is prepared and handled according to approved recipes, production standards, and safety procedures. The role also involves operating and cleaning food-service equipment, helping serve meals, and receiving customer feedback during scheduled meal periods.

Responsibilities
- Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline associates; address complaints; and resolve problems.
- Advise management of purchasing requirements, with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Operate and clean equipment according to department procedures after each use.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy, and maintain established food rotations to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the food supply.
- Operate food-service equipment safely and according to established policies and procedures.
- Help serve meals and remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
