About The Position

Huey’s is hiring an experienced Fry Cook in the Memphis area. The Fry Cook prepares food according to recipes and customer requests, ensures the station is properly set up before service, and uses specialized kitchen tools to prepare ingredients and produce finished dishes. The role requires a polite, friendly, willing-to-learn attitude and the ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff.

Requirements

• At least one year of cooking experience is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and active listening skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time.
• Exceptional time-management skills.
• Flexible availability for scheduling.
• Polite, friendly, and willing-to-learn attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock the station before each service.
• Prepare food daily and follow Huey’s recipes.
• Comply with Health Department regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare and serve food of the highest quality.
• Ensure food is ready at the right time, in the right order, and at the right temperature.
• Meet required ticket times for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Clean the station and, when asked, help other cooks clean their stations.
• Communicate and cooperate with back-of-house and front-of-house coworkers.
• Comply with Huey’s policies and procedures.
