About The Position

The Cook CD - Skilled prepares cooked foods and performs station functions for Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs. The position communicates ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers as needed, provides high-quality service to customers and associates, and performs other duties as directed by the business or assigned management that the associate is capable of performing. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
At least 3 years of closely related cooking experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining restaurant environment.
Food knowledge pertaining to sauces, soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and to converse comfortably with individuals.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.

Nice To Haves

Supervisor or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow recipes or product directions to prepare, season, cook, taste, carve, and serve food and beverage items, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment.
Follow food safety and sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards.
Operate kitchen equipment; measure and mix ingredients; and wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables.
Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of products.
Communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
