About The Position

This position is for a Converting Supervisor on the 3rd Shift. The supervisor will be responsible for leading and directing an assigned shift of hourly employees, ensuring goals are met in safety, quality, productivity, and engagement. The role involves supervising daily production of corrugated board, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and promoting a safe, quality-focused, and teamwork-oriented environment. The supervisor is expected to lead by example, communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external parties, and ensure compliance with company programs and initiatives.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Two years of manufacturing experience is required.
At least one year of Supervisory or Lead experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Corrugated industry experience is preferred.
Experience with flexo folder gluer machines and die cut machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees. Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts.
Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.
Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
