About The Position

The Weidmann Group of companies operates in vital fields such as energy and medical, providing crucial resources globally. They are leaders in transformer electrical insulation and advanced plastics technologies for medical and pharmaceutical applications. This role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in the Converting department, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The supervisor will lead and support production teams, enforce safety and quality requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall performance, including customer service, on-time delivery, and cost.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in a safety- and quality-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems using structured methods.
  • Proficiency in production systems, ERP/MRP, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production operations to meet output, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
  • Plan and assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust staffing or processes to meet production demands.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production and quality performance, addressing issues, defects, and performance gaps in a timely manner.
  • Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve operational issues and maintain workflow.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production reports and communicate performance, issues, and improvement actions to leadership.
