About The Position

This position is for a Converting Supervisor on the 2nd Shift at the Lebanon, IN facility. The role involves direct supervision, direction, and leadership for an assigned shift of hourly employees in a corrugated board production environment. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring goals are met in safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. Key aspects include training, planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, promoting teamwork, and resolving conflicts. The supervisor is expected to lead by example, foster a safe work environment, ensure product quality, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, while actively promoting compliance with company programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two years of manufacturing experience is required.
  • At least one year of Supervisory or Lead experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Corrugated industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with flexo folder gluer machines and die cut machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees. Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
  • Other duties as required.
