Conversion Machine Operator

About The Position

At Jabil, the Conversion Machine Operator works under direct supervision and operates automated manufacturing equipment for Jabil-manufactured assemblies. The role includes equipment setup, operation, adjustment, and upkeep, along with maintaining production documentation and an orderly work area. Operators may also perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting. Work direction may be communicated verbally or through visual aids and setup sheets. The position requires adherence to safety, health, and company security procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine equipment setup, operation, and adjustment.
Coordinate with team members to set up machines according to setup sheets.
Keep the board loader and feeders stocked with the correct parts, and prepare feeders for the next production run in advance.
Maintain and load the solder screen printer; operate the LSM machine to check solder paste application on boards; enter data into the CIQ system.
Keep the work area orderly by tubing fallout parts and cleaning the area and machines as needed.
Monitor machine rejects to ensure parts are sorted and run daily.
Maintain required documentation.
Perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions as needed.
Keep the assigned area clean and organized.
Follow work directions communicated verbally or through visual aids and setup sheets.
Follow applicable safety and health rules and regulations, as directed by the supervisor.
Comply with company security procedures.
