About The Position

Smart Building Technologies is seeking an early-career Controls Service Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and service of building automation systems. The role provides service to existing EMS/BAS systems, performs service installation projects, conducts preventive maintenance, and partners with the service team to diagnose, resolve, and verify issues. The technician will also develop programming skills to handle service challenges independently, including when remote support is unavailable.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in an industry-related field, including HVAC systems and DDC systems.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.

Nice To Haves

• Tridium certification.
• Distech experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform service installation projects, including sensor and relay upgrades, programming adjustments, and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits.
• Partner with the service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues.
• Develop programming skills to handle service challenges independently, including when remote support is unavailable.
