About The Position

We are looking for a Leader to partner with our existing team and expand our accounting and overall financial capability as eSimplicity grows. This role involves overseeing the corporate aspects of accounting including full-cycle accounting operations, compliance, and coordinating information related to taxes and audits. In addition, the role will drive strategic decision-making, own financial reporting, and recommend efficiencies including use of accounting software and data analytics tools. This role follows a hybrid schedule. Employees are required to work on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays, with remote work on other days as business needs allow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
  • Minimum of 10 years' work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and career progression with desire to grow skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Government Contracts
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards; ability to apply knowledge to accounting system.
  • Ability to manage overall accounting framework at a corporate level and manage related processes, systems, and tools.
  • Ability to partner with executive management on strategic projects including cost structure and prioritization of investments.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting system reviews and other Government audits.
  • Familiarity with Small Business Programs and Joint Ventures including managing financials for mentor protégé agreements.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • 5+ years in Government Contracting or related roles
  • Experience with purchase accounting
  • M&A integration with focus on processes and systems
  • At least one relevant certification related to Accounting or Government Contracting
  • Certifications in ERP systems (Unanet)

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, project accounting, and monthly financial closing processes.
  • Responsible for financial reporting and compliance including maintenance of accounting system and internal controls.
  • Oversee and/or perform payroll processes and business registrations while partnering with Human Resources on benefit administration.
  • Contribute to indirect budgeting and overhead rate management processes including development of forward pricing rates; prepare incurred cost submissions.
  • Partner with financial leadership on audit engagements including annual financial audit, Government audits, and other reviews.
  • Partner with financial leadership and external CPA firm on tax matters including compliance and planning activities.
  • Lead process development and system implementations including accounting system and provide readiness for audits and reviews.
