About The Position

CLA is seeking a Controller for its Construction CAAS practice, with opportunities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. CAAS helps clients transform their businesses through a collaborative approach to mitigating risk, overcoming challenges, meeting deadlines, and addressing workforce needs. In this role, you will serve as Controller for designated clients and act as a consultant and advisor on accounting and finance best practices. You will manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines; prepare and analyze financial statements; and advise client management on financial objectives, policies, and actions. You will also maintain knowledge of client policies and procedures, applicable federal and state directives, and current accounting standards, while fostering opportunities and attending industry events and trainings.

Requirements

Seven years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
Bachelor’s degree; a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

Public accounting experience preferred.
Construction experience highly preferred.
CPA certification preferred but not required.
Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
