About The Position

The Control Room Specialist is responsible for safety and security within the LSP facility. The role primarily monitors entrance and exit doors, admits authorized people to the Limited Secure facility, conducts various searches, and monitors live footage of the program. The Specialist works alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), supporting and carrying out its functions to serve the program. The role requires a nonjudgmental approach focused on skill building and basic principles of behavior, including reinforcement, extinction, blocking, and shaping.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• High attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.
• Minimum of two years of direct care experience working with at-risk youths, or a college degree and a minimum of one year of direct care experience working with at-risk youths, preferred.
• Individuals with a security background are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and exit doors.
• Admit authorized persons to the Limited Secure facility.
• Conduct various searches.
• Monitor live footage of the program.
• Support and carry out the functions of the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM).
• Help manage and promote a therapeutic environment while taking residents’ varying clinical needs into account.
• Use a nonjudgmental, skill-building approach grounded in behavioral principles, including reinforcement, extinction, blocking, and shaping.
