About The Position

As a Control Room Operator, you will execute approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to ensure the facility meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating safely and efficiently. You will monitor Reworld operating systems, coordinate plant operators, respond to alarms, and help manage normal operations and critical events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete the ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam within the first year in the position.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
• Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work consistently in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor Reworld operating systems and apply working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks during emergencies, providing clear directions for operational, safety, and environmental work.
• Respond to operational alarms and take immediate corrective action.
• Apply operational best practices, problem-solving, and sound decision-making in support of safety and operational goals.
• Execute approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
