About The Position

Family Support Services (FSS) is hiring a Contracts Compliance Specialist for its Contracts department in North Florida. The role involves a wide range of contract and compliance functions, including procurement, drafting and editing contract provisions, contract tracking, report compilation, invoice review, compliance monitoring, and document control. The specialist supports FSS’s mission to provide safety, stability, and quality of life for children by working with the community to strengthen families.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two or more years of contract experience.
• A combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to lead, manage, enhance, and promote assigned agency programs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review standard contract documents, terms, and conditions to support open and fair competition and compliance with state and federal laws and agency policies and procedures.
• Monitor contracts for compliance with state, federal, and contract guidelines through quarterly, annual, and other on-site visits using appropriate monitoring tools.
• Conduct annual risk assessments to determine the appropriate level of monitoring.
• Provide training and technical assistance to internal and external customers as required.
• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontracted providers and vendors regarding performance.
• Request corrective action plans when necessary based on monitoring results.
• Participate in team discussions and decision-making processes to improve the office environment.
• Perform desk audits of contract documents, invoices, and other business documents to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
