Tarkett Sports is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join their Montreal office team. This role follows a hybrid schedule and reports to the Senior Legal Counsel. Requirements

  • Degree in Paralegal Studies or higher or any equivalent and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal support role with experience in contract management and negotiation processes
  • Meticulous with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Utilize French language in professional settings. Due to the nature of our business operations, majority of this role will have to be carried out in the English language
  • Provide client focused support and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate effectively as both a team player and an independent contributor
  • Perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments while ensuring deadlines are met
  • Flexible and adaptable to new and changing environments
  • Independently negotiate contracts with external parties
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF.

  • Construction industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, redline, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including project contracts, supply contracts, leases, customer service contracts, and RFPs to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Routinely work with Project Managers to review, negotiate, and finalize project related contracts, including review and compliance with labor, insurance, and bond requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, sales, operations, and finance teams to facilitate the contract approval process and ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, tracking key dates and milestones.
  • Address contract-related queries and concerns from both internal and external parties.
  • Participate in project related issues and contract dispute resolution to provide legal support as needed.
  • Update and manage the contract database, which is used to track and analyze active contract and upcoming expiration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
