About The Position

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for a Contracts Administrator. The purpose of this position is to administer and coordinate all business aspects related to the sale and delivery of company products. From initial receipt of customer inquiries, preparation of cost estimates and proposals, contract review and acceptance, implementation of work and monitoring of contract performance, delivery of product to contract close out, the Contracts Administrator plays an integral role throughout this process. Responsible for maintaining the Order Management System (OMS) within the ERP system up to date to allow the company to implement and complete customer orders. Together with the Contracts Specialist, are the primary point of contact for all company customers. Multi-dimensional role which requires constant communication with every other department in the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree or Business Vocational School Diploma
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of commercial contracts and business terminology, strong written comprehension skills, particularly for commercial and contractual language
  • Ability to understand and interpret written commercial and contractual documents, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude and interaction with customers and colleagues, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, motivated and energetic, willingness to learn aerospace regulations, standards, and contract practices

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP or contract management systems is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Administer customer contracts from proposal and award through execution, amendment, and closeout
  • Review, interpret, and manage contractual terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, liabilities, warranties, and flow-down requirements
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, regulatory, and aerospace industry requirements
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract records in accordance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, obligations, and expiration dates, proactively identifying risks or issues
  • Support contract negotiations by reviewing commercial terms and preparing summaries, redlines, and recommendations
  • Act as a primary point of contact for contract-related queries from internal stakeholders and external customers or suppliers
  • Collaborate with program management, operations, supply chain, finance, and legal teams to support contract execution
  • Support internal and external audits related to contracts and commercial compliance
  • Prepare reports, analyses, and management summaries related to contract performance and risks
