About The Position

Non-CDL driver associates drive box trucks under 26,000 lbs. gross weight or smaller to deliver merchandise to customers’ homes or businesses. The role includes loading, unloading, lifting, and transporting merchandise, interacting with customers and store and warehouse associates and leaders, and updating order statuses using a handheld device. Driving and deliveries make up at least 50% of the work, and customer service makes up 50%.

Requirements

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to load and unload items weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Must pass a DOT physical, criminal check, and drug screen.
• Familiarity with local and surrounding areas.
• Ability to read a GPS and follow directions.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

• One year of work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer interaction and customer service.
• Drive a non-CDL vehicle, including box trucks and flatbeds under 26,000 lbs. gross weight or smaller, on local routes and deliver products to customers at least 50% of the time.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers and stores.
• Load the truck efficiently for unloading and confirm customer orders.
• Climb in and out of the delivery cab throughout the day to complete customer deliveries.
• Perform overtime as required to complete deliveries and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Accurately and promptly update order statuses using a handheld device.
