About The Position

The Montana Department of Corrections is hiring a part-time Contract Manager for its Community Corrections Facilities & Programs Bureau in the Central Office in Helena, Montana. The role oversees community corrections contracts and supports effective, compliant operations aligned with state regulations. Through contract oversight and quality assurance, the Contract Manager helps strengthen public safety and support the rehabilitation and welfare of offenders transitioning back into communities. The position’s work affects facility performance, offender placement, and the quality of services delivered across Montana.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an alternative combination of education and experience considered on a case-by-case basis.
Two years of experience in Human Services, or an alternative combination of education and experience considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage community corrections contracts from start to finish.
Coordinate initiatives across multiple divisions and respond to evolving business needs.
Navigate contract amendments and resolve issues involving facilities, offenders, and families.
Support offender placement decisions and manage length-of-stay considerations.
Use communication and analytical skills to promote integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
Monitor contractual and facility compliance to ensure high-quality operations.
