Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Wheeler Machinery•Salt Lake City, UT

About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator coaches, teaches, and mentors frontline employees and leaders on continuous improvement (CI) methodology within an assigned business area: Service, Parts, or HQ/Rental. The Coordinator owns CI support for that area at every Wheeler location and serves as the primary CI partner for assigned branches. Working with area leadership, the Coordinator connects improvement work to the department’s priorities, playbook, and KPIs, integrating CI into how the area operates. The role spends most of its time at the Gemba, using Lean and Wheeler tools to foster employee engagement, problem-solving, and the Wheeler Way Forward. Branch managers remain accountable for leading CI at their branches; the Coordinator equips and supports them in doing so. Each Coordinator is assigned areas of focus that determine department partners and the branches where they serve as the primary CI contact. Execution may overlap across areas at a branch, but accountability for an area’s CI support rests with its Coordinator. Assignments may change as circumstances evolve. Branches are within driving distance of Salt Lake City, Utah, and travel frequency varies by area of focus.
