Content Specialist

Noonday Collection•Austin, TX

About The Position

Noonday is a globally inspired accessories brand that creates dignified jobs for artisans in vulnerable communities through fair prices, upfront payments, and long-term partnerships. The company is expanding from direct sales into ecommerce, wholesale, creator-led distribution, travel, and experiences. The Content Specialist tells the stories behind Noonday’s products and artisans through social media, ecommerce, web, and advertising content. The role owns Noonday’s Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, as well as the organic social channels of founder Jessica Honegger. It creates and edits video and photography, manages social calendars and publishing, collects and develops stories from artisans and travel partners, and produces product, web, and ad content. The Content Specialist reports to the Brand Director, who sets creative direction. Marketing owns channel strategy and ad performance, while the Community Coordinator helps manage comments and direct messages.

  • A portfolio of short-form video and photography personally shot and edited.
  • Fluency with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, CapCut or Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Canva.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to produce more, plan smarter, and learn faster without losing the human touch.
  • An eye for product and writing that sounds human rather than like a press release.
  • Cross-cultural fluency and the ability to brief and collaborate clearly, curiously, and respectfully with contractors and artisans across languages, time zones, and cultures.
  • Comfort being on camera and directing the founder, team, and creators.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage two accounts, a large content archive, and a steady stream of web and advertising requests independently.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend shoots and travel when a story calls for it.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a mirrorless or DSLR camera.
  • Experience running social media for a founder.

  • Use AI tools to accelerate editing and resizing, brainstorm and plan content, and analyze performance while ensuring content remains accurate and human.
  • Operate the social management platform: schedule, publish, and quality-check posts; help run the shared comments and direct-message inbox; store approved media; and prepare performance reports.
  • Report on organic creative wins, ad creative wins using Marketing’s performance data, and organic social growth at weekly meetings.
  • Brief Noonday Travel hosts, trip guests, local creators, and artisan partners on content to capture, and collect that content.
  • Coach artisan partners to capture their work and stories, making participation easy and respectful and obtaining consent.
  • Source and manage photographers, videographers, and creators in artisan countries within an approved budget.
  • Edit field footage into stories and adapt stories for series, launches, product pages, and ads.
  • Organize, label, and credit artisan and travel assets so they can be found and reused.
  • Shoot product and lifestyle content for product pages, including clean flat-lays and styled product arrangements.
  • Manage Noonday’s user-generated content: identify customer and creator content, secure permission, and use it across social media, product pages, and ads.
  • Create web banner imagery and video in collaboration with the Brand & Digital Designer.
  • Create paid social ads and variations for Marketing to test, and apply performance learnings to future content.
  • Plan shoots with shot lists and styling, and organize, tag, and maintain Noonday’s Dropbox photo and video archive.

  • Be available for occasional evening and weekend shoots and travel when needed.
