The Content & Social Media Coordinator tells the story of WatersEdge through compelling written and social media content that builds partnerships with Southern Baptist churches and inspires donor generosity. Under the strategic direction of the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, the Coordinator develops written content across WatersEdge channels, manages the day-to-day social media presence, and stays current on trends and practices that help content reach and engage audiences. The role reports to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, who sets content and social media strategy and the annual content calendar. It works closely with the Advertising Strategist on copy for advertising and campaign materials and alignment with paid campaigns, and with the Creative Director on design and visual direction. WatersEdge declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message, as revised and adopted in 2000 by the Southern Baptist Convention. As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists, or in a faith-aligned evangelical church that declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice. The position generally works in an office environment, though duties may occasionally take place outside a typical office setting. Travel and operation of a vehicle may be required. WatersEdge is an at-will employer; this description may not include every duty, and other duties may be assigned by the CEO or the employee’s supervisor.
