About The Position

Mercier Consultancy Group is seeking a Dutch Speaking Content Moderator to work on-site in Athens, Greece. The Content Moderator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and quality of content on leading social media platforms, ensuring a positive and compliant user experience. Requirements

• Native or fluent Dutch language proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Valid EU passport or EU citizenship.
• Strong understanding of Dutch-language cultural context, social norms, and digital communication trends.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to make consistent, objective decisions.
• Solid digital literacy and comfort working with multiple online platforms, content management tools, and internal moderation systems.
• Professional, empathetic, and resilient mindset.
• Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related digital or social media role is considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms in Dutch, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines.
• Identify and action harmful, offensive, misleading, or policy-violating content, including hate speech, graphic material, misinformation, and spam.
• Make accurate, consistent, and well-reasoned content decisions within defined service level agreements and quality benchmarks.
• Escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk social media content cases to senior moderators or specialist teams.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of moderation actions, decisions, and patterns.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving social media trends, platform policy updates, and Dutch-language cultural nuances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Trust & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Training.
• Contribute feedback and insights to improve content moderation workflows, tools, and internal guidelines.
