About The Position

Join BlackBerry’s Secure Communications Integrated Marketing team to help evolve how we create, structure, and scale content across web and digital experiences. This role focuses on building high-quality, insight-driven content that performs across traditional search, answer engines, and AI-powered discovery. You’ll work across the full web content lifecycle, from research and ideation through creation, optimization, and performance analysis — while contributing to structured, repeatable workflows. You will own defined projects with clear deliverables, think critically about how content performs across multiple discovery surfaces, and document your work to enable long-term scalability. This role sits at the intersection of content, data, and emerging AI-driven discovery, helping ensure that our web content is not only compelling—but also findable, usable, and surfaced in the moments that matter.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to structure content effectively for web readability and engagement.
  • Solid research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable content strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEO (search optimization) and AEO (answer optimization) fundamentals.
  • Curiosity and creativity in improving content discoverability, with a willingness to test and apply new approaches.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, polished work.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated mindset with ownership over projects and outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with web publishing, content workflows and content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver web content assets supporting a defined campaign or solution area, including long-form articles, landing page copy, and supporting web pages aligned to target personas, messaging frameworks, and campaign goals.
  • Ensure all content is structured and formatted to perform across search engines, answer surfaces, and AI assistants.
  • Learn and apply the latest SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices to ensure content is optimized for search visibility, answer engines, and AI-driven discovery.
  • Audit existing web content for performance, identify gaps, and optimize underperforming pages using keyword strategy, semantic structuring, and content formatting best practices.
  • Test content enhancements to improve search rankings (SEO), featured snippets (AI Overviews), and answer visibility on platforms such as ChatGPT.
  • Design and execute a structured experiment to evaluate how web content surfaces in AI-assisted experiences (e.g., generative search, AI assistants).
  • Develop a test set of prompts and expected outcomes, assess how different content structures and formats perform, and iterate based on findings.
  • Document insights and recommend repeatable strategies to improve accuracy, inclusion, and prominence in AI-generated responses.
  • Work with Marketing Operations to analyze web content performance using tools such as Google Analytics, identify trends in engagement, discoverability, and user behavior across key pages.
  • Provide clear, data-backed recommendations to improve search rankings and organic traffic, answer visibility and featured snippet inclusion, and presence and accuracy in AI-generated responses.
  • Create clear documentation outlining web content creation workflows, editorial standards, and best practices for SEO/AEO.
  • Ensure documentation supports consistent execution, scalability, and onboarding of future contributors.
  • Develop and optimize web content including blog articles, landing pages, and solution pages, ensuring alignment with brand voice, messaging strategy, and audience needs.
  • Conduct audience, competitor, and industry research to inform content topics, positioning, and differentiation.
  • Apply modern optimization practices including keyword research, semantic structuring, and answer-focused formatting to improve visibility in search engines, answer surfaces, and inclusion in AI assistants and generative search experiences.
  • Identify and introduce innovative discoverability strategies by testing new content formats, structural approaches, and optimization techniques to improve rankings, answer visibility, and AI inclusion.
  • Analyze web content performance using analytics tools; measure success against KPIs and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to produce accurate, high-quality, and technically sound content.
  • Ensure editorial quality and consistency through proofreading, adherence to brand standards, and structured review processes.
  • Leverage AI tools where appropriate to support content ideation, drafting, and optimization while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Document workflows and standards to enable repeatable, efficient content production and continuous improvement.
