About The Position

We are seeking a Marketing Student for our Toronto district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 months starting in September 2026. As a Marketing Student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by creating branded materials, producing visually compelling marketing content, updating marketing assets, developing digital collateral, interviewing internal stakeholders for write-ups, assisting in data entry and maintaining databases, supporting marketing activities for events and conferences, assisting with special assignments, supporting employee headshots, reviewing and editing documents, writing business communications, managing tasks and priorities, and developing customer-focused relationships.

Requirements

  • Graphic design skills and creativity.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent computer, Microsoft Office Suite and researching skills.
  • Critical and analytical thinking and the ability to articulate abstract ideas.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information and resourcefulness.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated positive attitude, flexibility and a solution-provider mentality.
  • Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of digital media and how to integrate it into the business process.
  • Ability to take initiative in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced, environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Illustrator (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Create branded materials based on PCL’s visual guidelines (e.g., brochures, flysheets, PPTs, conference materials, posters and banners, etc.).
  • Produce visually compelling marketing content and materials for internal and external audiences, including photography and graphic/document design.
  • Accurately update existing collection of marketing assets and collateral to keep them current; maintain a log of changes.
  • Develop digital collateral such as landing pages and interactive brochures.
  • Interview internal stakeholders and/or use internal database to develop writeup for project profiles, marketing materials, resumes, and other purposes as required.
  • Assist in data entry and maintain accurate database and content on PCL’s internal sales and marketing platform SAMI.
  • Support marketing activities associated with internal and external events and conferences.
  • Assist with special assignments and provide support to the Marketing team as required.
  • Support coordination and execution of employee headshots as needed.
  • Review, edit and proofread various internal documents and marketing related material.
  • As needed, write clear, concise business communications that are tailored to the right audience and are free of spelling and punctuation errors.
  • Manage tasks and priorities as part of a creative team working within project schedules and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with internal customers to develop branding solutions for products.
