About The Position

Provide marketing and event support to the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism which includes the parent & family engagement and alumni engagement departments. This position will be fully in person working out of the Elliott Alumni House on the Orange Campus.

Requirements

Detail-oriented to maintain Excel spreadsheets and correctly enter data updates.
Possess organizational skills to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
Ability to comfortably speak with parents and students over phone, email, and in person.
Previous experience using Campaign Monitor or other email marketing platforms.
Basic knowledge of graphic design and content creation tools (i.e. Canva).

Responsibilities

Design and build emails in an email marketing platform.
Track email marketing metrics.
Assist with brainstorming and developing content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Create and schedule reels, carousels, and story content for all social media platforms.
Track social media metrics.
Assist with event planning for Welcome Receptions for incoming students and alumni events.
Compile and manage detailed Excel spreadsheets tracking event attendee lists, ensuring accuracy and organization for event planning and follow-up.
Conduct phone calls to students and parents on behalf of the office to invite to welcome receptions.
Occasionally attend events to interact with attendees, help with set-up, and help with takedown at venues.
Prepare invitation lists, update attendance lists, and post-event data tracking of attendees.
Support the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism by greeting visitors, responding to requests for information and assistance, refer individuals to appropriate university offices as needed.
Electronic filing, mailings, and office organization
Other duties as assigned.
