•$100,000 - $120,000•Remote

About The Position

The Content Marketing Manager owns content strategy for SambaSafety's specialized fleet and insurance audiences, turning complex technical and regulatory subject matter into content that resonates. This role writes for discoverability in traditional search and citability in AI-powered answers, and builds the AI-assisted workflows and guardrails that keep content accurate, on-brand, and free of generic AI output. Success is measured by a clear line from content to pipeline and business impact, not just traffic or rankings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to write with authority about insurance, or another niche, technical, or regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, legal, cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of SEO best practices, with growing or established expertise in AEO: what it is, which components matter (structured data, content structure, entity authority), and how to test and improve for it.
  • Proven ability to write content that performs across three dimensions: discoverable in traditional search, rankable against competitors, and citable in AI-generated answers.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently.
  • Proficiency in AP Style, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with content management systems and with SEO/AEO tooling (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar).
  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, with direct ownership of strategy (not just execution).
  • Direct experience building or operating AI-assisted content workflows at scale (not just occasional use of ChatGPT or Claude for brainstorming), with a clear point of view on how to avoid generic, inaccurate, or off-brand AI output.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot.

Responsibilities

  • Owns content strategy, planning, and performance reporting across blog, email, web, and sales and marketing collateral; individual contributor role with no direct reports.
  • Owns content strategy and planning, understanding the language, buying triggers, and technical depth of our specialized fleet and insurance audiences.
  • Plans and drafts copy for all marketing collateral, including blog posts, white papers, guides, checklists, emails, ads, webpages, and webinar content.
  • Interviews subject matter experts (internal team members, partners, customers) to translate technical and regulatory concepts into clear, credible, authoritative content.
  • Builds and maintains AI-assisted content workflows that produce accurate, on-brand content at scale, including clear QA and editing processes to catch errors, hallucinations, and generic AI voice.
  • Owns blog strategy end to end: planning, drafting, and optimizing every post for discoverability (SEO), citability (AEO), and conversion.
  • Drives AEO strategy: structured data and schema, content formatting for AI answer engines, entity and authorship signals, and ongoing testing of what improves AI visibility.
  • Maintains SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, technical hygiene) as a baseline, not the primary focus of the role.
  • Develops email nurtures that progress leads through the funnel and re-engage dormant leads.
  • Runs structured A/B tests (subject lines, CTAs, website copy) and applies learnings to future content.
  • Reports on content performance with a clear line to pipeline and business impact, and uses that data to shape what gets built next.
