About The Position

Rippling is seeking a Content, Events, & Community Manager to engage with HR audiences. This role is a blend of content creation, community building, and event management, focused on understanding the needs of HR and recruiting teams. The successful candidate will translate these insights into valuable editorial content, community programs, and event sessions. The role involves writing and editing practical, high-quality content for HR professionals, managing community programming, and contributing to the development of virtual and in-person events designed to support people leaders and Rippling's growth objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing and editing abilities, keen audience awareness, excellent project management skills, a data-driven approach, and a genuine interest in the challenges faced by HR teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, community, communications, events, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex workplace or HR topics into clear and compelling content.
  • Experience creating content for HR, people operations, workplace, leadership, or business audiences.
  • Experience supporting or programming events, webinars, roundtables, panels, community conversations, or similar audience-facing formats.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple content and community workstreams concurrently.
  • Good editorial judgment, with the ability to identify valuable content, distinguish it from generic material, and develop a sharper angle.
  • Comfort working with cross-functional partners, subject-matter experts, speakers, and external contributors.
  • A community-first mindset and a passion for creating programming that is perceived as useful, credible, and encourages repeat engagement.
  • Familiarity with AI workflows, prompts, and tools (e.g., Claude, Rippling AI) and their application to practical HR and people operations use cases.
  • Technical acumen and understanding of HR systems for hiring, payroll, onboarding, etc.
  • Metrics acumen: ability to measure program impact, report results, and optimize performance based on data.
  • Experience with social media content creation and distribution across various channels, and driving community growth via social platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit HR-focused content including articles, newsletters, event recaps, discussion prompts, resource guides, interview pieces, and community-driven insights.
  • Develop content to assist HR leaders with topics such as workforce planning, employee experience, compliance, performance, compensation, culture, benefits, and people operations.
  • Grow and engage The Glue, Rippling's community for HR leaders and practitioners.
  • Lead programming and content strategy for AI Academy, a monthly live program and community initiative focused on helping HR leaders manage seasonal challenges with AI workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to gather timely, credible, and useful ideas for the HR community.
  • Support community events by assisting with speaker preparation, programming, promotion, live execution, follow-up content, and post-event recaps.
  • Transform community conversations, event themes, customer inquiries, and HR trends into content ideas and recurring editorial series.
  • Edit contributions from internal partners, community members, freelancers, and subject-matter experts to ensure content is clear, accurate, useful, and on-brand.
  • Assist in managing the editorial calendar for content, community programming, and events.
  • Monitor community engagement and utilize engagement data, qualitative feedback, and member insights to enhance future programming.
