About The Position

LangChain is seeking a Content Lead to build and scale the company's content practice. This is a player/coach role where the individual will drive strategic content direction, manage and mentor a Content Marketer, and lead the vision for engaging the developer community. The role involves building processes, standards, and team capabilities for high-quality, high-velocity content production. The Content Lead will shape LangChain's voice, set editorial standards for technical quality, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure content reaches the right audiences. Responsibilities include defining editorial direction, content roadmap, building scalable workflows, mentoring the team, owning flagship projects like the State of Agents report, and collaborating with an SEO agency.

Requirements

  • Experience in content marketing, editorial, product marketing, or related roles at developer-focused or technical product companies.
  • 1+ years of managing or mentoring individual contributors preferred.
  • Track record of building and scaling content functions.
  • Natural ability to develop people, give thoughtful feedback, delegate with clarity, and help teammates grow.
  • Exceptional ability to write clear, compelling, technically accurate content for developer audiences.
  • Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and a distinctive point of view on content quality.
  • Ability to see the big picture and understand how content serves business goals and drives adoption.
  • Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth through SEO-optimized content.
  • Experience working with SEO tools and agencies to implement successful strategies.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to developer audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking content metrics, A/B testing, and using insights to optimize strategy.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, working effectively with engineering, education, product, and marketing teams.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and drives results with minimal direction.
  • Scrappy and hands-on approach, willing to do what it takes to ship great content and iterate quickly.
  • Thoughtful perspective on where AI enhances content creation and where human judgment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Build and mentor a content team: Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing Content Marketing team, providing feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.
  • Define content strategy and roadmap: Develop and execute the strategic vision for LangChain's content, identifying key themes, audience segments, and content opportunities.
  • Lead flagship content initiatives: Drive industry-defining thought leadership pieces, such as the State of Agents report, working with subject matter experts.
  • Own blog performance and organic growth: Drive organic web traffic through content strategy and execution, owning blog metrics and iterating on content.
  • Write and edit high-impact content: Create and edit strategic blog posts, thought leadership pieces, and long-form content, maintaining voice, quality, and technical accuracy.
  • Expand SEO & AEO investments: Strengthen the SEO program by collaborating with an SEO agency to shape strategy and prioritize content initiatives.
  • Set content quality standards and build scalable systems: Establish editorial guidelines, voice standards, and quality frameworks, creating efficient content processes and workflows.
  • Enable cross-functional content creation: Lead partnerships across education, engineering, and marketing, developing content frameworks to empower other teams.
  • Measure impact and optimize: Define success metrics, track content performance, and use data to refine strategy and share insights with leadership.
