About The Position

We’re hiring a Content Marketing Lead to own Hypha’s thought leadership. This role requires someone who can understand the challenges faced by commercial real estate lenders and translate them into trusted content. As a key member of a small marketing team, reporting to the CMO, this is a high-trust, high-visibility position with significant ownership from the start. Hypha’s growth strategy heavily relies on thought leadership, and this role will be instrumental in developing content that resonates with busy, skeptical practitioners in the commercial real estate sector. The ideal candidate will create content that educates and entertains, maintaining a consistent point of view across various formats.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism, or thought leadership.
  • At least 2 years of experience working directly in or writing for commercial real estate, CRE lending, or private credit.
  • A portfolio showcasing writing that demonstrates clarity, voice, argumentation, and wit.
  • Ability to operate end-to-end in a builder role, without requiring extensive process layers.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical partners and domain experts.
  • Understanding of audience engagement strategies on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in ghostwriting for executives, capturing their authentic voice.

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or regulated industries.
  • Instinct for SEO and how AI assistants surface information.
  • Experience in an early-stage startup environment, particularly building from scratch.
  • Experience in developing repeatable content systems, not just one-off projects.
  • Experience working directly with executives on external-facing narrative development.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a content system that scales one core idea into various content formats like anchor reports, whitepapers, blog posts, and LinkedIn copy.
  • Ghostwrite executive communications, including reports, posts, and stage narratives for the CEO and senior leaders, ensuring authenticity.
  • Produce content that is credible to lenders and underwriters in healthcare, senior housing, and multifamily real estate.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and events teams to ensure alignment between thought leadership, sales narratives, and overall company messaging.
  • Develop and script concepts for video and podcast content that extend the reach of written materials, working with production teams.
  • Write and distribute content tailored to different professional platforms, understanding where specific audiences like brokers and lenders engage.
