About The Position

Sumble is seeking a Marketing Lead to own the company's content strategy and execution. This role involves defining the strategic narrative, editorial voice, content assets, and social media presence. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for shaping how Sumble communicates its value proposition to go-to-market teams, leveraging account intelligence and signals. This is a senior individual contributor position with strategic ownership, budget authority, and the expectation to operate with modern AI tooling and external specialists. The role requires a deep understanding of B2B SaaS marketing, particularly within the GTM tech space, and a data-driven approach to content creation and measurement. The Marketing Lead will collaborate closely with founders, the Head of Marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives and drives pipeline growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B content experience, ideally in GTM tech (sales tech, data infrastructure, RevOps platforms, or adjacent categories).
  • Experience writing for GTM buyers (CROs, RevOps, sales leaders, marketing ops) and understanding their reading habits.
  • Demonstrated range across long-form and short-form content creation.
  • Proven experience defining a brand voice, preferably taking a B2B SaaS brand from "corporate by default" to having personality.
  • A sales-oriented mindset, with experience working closely with sales teams and building content that moves deals.
  • Data-curious with a strong ability to find stories within datasets and work with raw platform signals.
  • Super IC operating style: experience building a content function from scratch or leading one, ruthless prioritization, independent editorial decision-making, and a preference for IC depth over management.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency in real production workflows, with concrete examples of using AI to improve content speed, quality, or differentiation.
  • Comfortable orchestrating consultants and agencies, including managing external resources effectively.
  • Strong ghost-writing skills, with the ability to adopt and replicate specific voices.
  • Fluent in the standard B2B content stack (CMS tooling, SEO/AEO tools, analytics) and adaptable to new tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Sumble's brand tone and editorial voice, creating a voice guide and setting editorial standards.
  • Develop and own Sumble's strategic narrative, translating it into various content formats like essays, decks, talks, and ads.
  • Manage the narrative loop with the sales team, ensuring content reflects market feedback.
  • Own Sumble's organic social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, including editorial calendars, content creation, and engagement strategies.
  • Ghost-write for founders, executives, and key team members to amplify their social presence.
  • Engage with industry thought leaders through guest appearances and joint content initiatives.
  • Develop and execute content strategies across long-form (essays, market analyses) and short-form (social posts, ad copy) formats.
  • Create hook-based content designed to capture audience attention immediately.
  • Manage an editorial calendar that integrates long-form and short-form content, ensuring a cohesive content flow.
  • Own the strategy for video and multimedia content, including briefing, shaping, and directing short-form video and motion graphics, working with external partners.
  • Develop sales enablement assets such as case narratives, competitive teardowns, objection-handling content, decks, and one-pagers.
  • Own funnel content, including landing pages, campaign emails, nurture sequences, and ad copy.
  • Utilize Sumble's platform data and signals to create unique content like data teardowns, market maps, and intelligence reports.
  • Ensure Sumble gains visibility in search engines and AI answer engines through SEO, structured content, and original data.
  • Track content performance across pieces and channels, measuring impact on pipeline and brand.
  • Maintain a feedback loop with Sales and Customer Success to refine content based on its effectiveness in driving deals and renewals.
