About The Position

The Container Keeper manages outbound shipments and assigns tasks to Shipping Supervisors and Shipping Specialists, while controlling costs and monitoring KPI items. The role involves tracking customer container types and codes and their corresponding Fuyao programs; counting and recording empty racks; keeping cargo-platform racks clear; removing labels from empty containers; maintaining and cleaning racks; and repairing and documenting damaged racks. The position may also be assigned other duties by management. The role requires communication in English, the ability to understand written and verbal instructions, and the ability to work with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers. The work environment may involve occasional exposure to extreme heat and usually has moderate noise. Required safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed footwear, and a reflective shirt, vest, or jacket.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED, or higher.
Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions, and to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
Proficiency in the metric system and adequate reading skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables.
Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
Knowledge of work instructions and IATF16949 systems.
Forklift operator with a good driving record; Fuyao Fork Lift License.
No active discipline above a Verbal Warning and a good attendance record.
Ability to meet physical demands including prolonged standing, turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and passing static grip-strength requirements.
Visual acuity including near and far acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift driver and material handler experience.
Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office.
Safety- and goal-oriented approach.
Self-motivation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Manage all outbound shipments.
Assign tasks to Shipping Supervisors and Shipping Specialists.
Control costs and KPI items.
Know customer container types, customer container codes, and the corresponding Fuyao programs.
Count all empty racks daily, compile statistics, collect data weekly, and store and bind the records.
Keep racks on the cargo platform clear in a timely manner.
Remove production, shipping, and signboard labels from all empty boxes.
Clean and maintain racks in a timely manner.
Repair damaged racks promptly, place them in the corresponding area, and record repairs, including customer codes and quantities.
Assist with other responsibilities as assigned.
