About The Position

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Stock Keeper stocks and maintains warehouse inventory so materials can be accurately retrieved and delivered to end users when needed. Success in the role depends on maintaining an accurate, organized warehouse and providing production lines with the correct parts and quantities from inventory stores. The position is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere, with possible short periods of exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. The employee must maintain knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements and follow safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment in designated areas. Work is primarily on first shift, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Overtime may involve a 5:00 a.m. start and Saturdays as needed. The position is located at 2607 N Mulroy, Springfield, Missouri 65803.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
Continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements.
Ability to walk, stand, use hands and arms to reach, climb or balance, and talk and hear.
Ability to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility regularly.

Responsibilities

Safely operate one or more types of lift trucks to load and unload trailers and transport materials to and from production and support departments.
Verify incoming material.
Stock parts in specified bin locations.
Count inventory accurately.
Pull orders and complete transactions.
Use scanners or tablets.
Move materials within the warehouse and assist with other warehouse activities as directed.
Sweep warehouse floors and organize work areas.
Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
Follow safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
